A cheap "no name" baby pink Asiatic with a white median flush and appealing light orange pollen! Have never seen anything like that, normally the tepals are colored more intensively at the basis and fade out towards the margins.
Ed Mc Rae describes a breeding line out of ´Connecticut King´ from the late 1960s, early ´70s which showed such features, but they were yellow and orange with white and after introducing 2 or 3 clones, the line was not any more followed, unfortunately.
I think it is a very interesting and unique feature! Just had pollen of L. pumilum at hand and applied it after amputating the style :)
That is a pretty one. Reminds me of LA Samur in regards to coloration.
AntwortenLöschenah interesting! just had a look for ´samur´, it looks similar in coloration, but it has different shape and growth habit - but very interesting!
